Pleasure Trip to Kerala Turns Tragic for Five Friends

MAHBUBNAGAR: A pleasure trip to Kerala turned tragic for youth from Hyderabad, as their vehicle met with an accident and five of them lost their lives on Friday.

The fatal accident took place on National Highway 44 at Gurramgadda near Rangapur village in Pebbair mandal in the wee hours of  Friday.

According to police, the group was on its way to Kerala for a picnic. As they reached Gurramguda, one of the rear wheels of the vehicle burst and the speeding vehicle veered off the road, plunged into a roadside ditch and overturned. Four of the occupants of the vehicle succumbed to injuries on the spot while another person died while being treatment at Kurnool government hospital.

Nissar (28) of Katedhan, Izaz Hussain (48) of Hussainialam, Zakir Hussain (50) of Afzalgunj and Sattar (52) of Dabirpura died on the spot.Their bodies were handed over to the relatives after autopsy at Wanaparthy government hospital. Of the two injured, Khayyam (52) succumbed to injuries during treatment at Kurnool while Mukthar Ahmed is battling for his life.
