NALGONDA: District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy on Saturday issued show cause notices to 11 persons involved in Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scam. In a press note released on Saturday, he said an inquiry by Deputy Collector has identified many ineligible persons who benefited from the schemes.
According to Revenue Recovery Act, amount would be recovered from them.
He stated that 7,780 persons benefited from Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi schemes. Out of that, 1,199 persons from Minority welfare department, 4,072 from SC welfare department and 2,514 from ST welfare department were benefited.
It may be recalled that the district administration has appointed various officers for enquiry on beneficiaries. The officials were directed to complete the inquiry within 15 days and submit the report.
