No Drought for Liquor, Says BJP

NIZAMABAD:There is no sufficient water in villages, but liquor is readily available, BJP state president and MLA G Kishan Reddy observed, while touring the district on Thursday.

He alleged that the state government is failing to address the prevailing drought situation in the state.

He interacted with farmers in Navipet and Renjal Mandal. Speaking to media, he said that state government already released `80 lakh to each village but the government was diverting the funds to other programmes.

He also recalled that Union government already sanctioned MNREGS funds but that too was diverted for other purposes.

On a positive note, he praised Mission Kakatiya programme but suspected corruption in the works.BJP state leader Y Laxminarayana, district president P Gangareddy, leaders B Laxmareddy, Muralidhar Goud and others took part.
