Pact on Medigadda in July

HYDERABAD: With the Maharashtra government agreeing for construction of Medigadda barrage at a height of 101 metres, the stage is set for the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Telangana and Maharashtra on the construction of Medigadda barrage, which will come up as part of Kaleshwaram Lift irrigation project.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to come to Hyderabad in the second week of July to sign the MoU with his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Irrigation minister T Harish Rao called on his Maharashtra counterpart Girjish Mahajan in Mumbai on Friday. Both discussed  Medigadda design and decided to hold the inter-state river board meeting in Hyderabad in the second week of July.
