BJP Wants Telangana Government to Clear all Crop Loans in Current Budget

HYDERABAD:  State BJP president G Kishan Reddy has urged the State government to clear farmers’ crop loan dues to bankers by making a provision in the current budget itself. In a press release issued here on Monday, Kishan Reddy said that if the state government cleared the crop loans to bankers now, farmers would get fresh loans from June.

He said that clearing crop loans to bankers in instalments was making farmers ineligible to get fresh loans. He alleged that bankers did not lend `2,000 crore to farmers against the target of `8,000 crore for the Rabi crop.

To Meet Maha CM: A BJP delegation headed by its floor leader in the Assembly K Lakshman will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis at Sahyadri guest house in Mumbai on Tuesday. They will congratulate him on his initiative to sign MoUs with the Telangana government on irrigation projects.

The MoUs will help provide irrigation water to backward areas in TS, according to a BJP press release.
