SANGAREDDY/JANGOAN : Vexed with the torture and harassment, a woman, along with her younger son, allegedly killed her 26-year-old son Sannaila Shivaji at Maddikunta village in Sangareddy district on Wednesday night.
According to Sadasivpet CI G Venkateswharlu, Shivaji, an alcohol addict, used to frequently quarrel and harass his mother and sister for money, using abusive language. On Wednesday night, he came home and started quarrelling with them for money.Unable to bear the harassment any more, his mother Susheela and his younger brother Vishwanath tied Shivaji to a tree at their house, poured water on him, sprayed chilli powder and thrashed him till he died. None of the neighbours came to know about it till Thursday morning.
On coming to know of the incident on Thursday morning, police arrived and shifted the body to Sadasivpet government hospital for autopsy. The woman and her younger son were taken into custody and a case of murder was registered against them. Meanwhile, in another incident, a 45-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his wife and daughters at Dabakuntalapally village in Jangaon district.
According to police, the body of Srinivas was found dumped in an isolated place on the village outskirts on Thursday morning.
Police, who reportedly took the deceased person’s wife and daughters into custody for questioning, said Srinivas used to harass his wife for money. “The couple used to fight over the issue everyday. It is suspected that during a heated argument late Wednesday night, the man’s wife and daughters were enraged over his behaviour and killed him,” police said.
