JAGTIAL : In yet another case of alleged honour killing, a 28-year-old youth was hacked to death by the family members of a girl with whom the deceased reportedly fell in love. The incident took place at Cherlapalli village in Velgatoor mandal on Tuesday. According to police, Junjupalli Sudhakar, an SC, reportedly fell in love with a girl, a BC, of the same village.

When the girl’s brothers Sirigiri Venu and Harish came to know about their affair, they threatened Sudhakar several times. But when Sudhakar still continued to meet the girl, the duo allegedly forced their sister to foist a harassment case against Sudhakar.

Even this did not deter Sudhakar from meeting the girl he loved.  Two days back, they again warned Sudhakar to mend his ways. On July 11, 2017, while Sudhakar was proceeding towards Gullakota on his motorcycle, Venu, Harish and their father Ramaiah chased the youth and axed him to death.
