KHAMMAM: In another incident of food poisoning, about 40 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya gurukul situated on the outskirts of Khammam city were taken ill after consuming food on Monday night. This is the sixth case of food poisoning in the last one month, which has taken place in gurukul schools.
According to sources, the girls started vomiting and complained of diarrhoea. They were shifted to government headquarters hospital in Khammam.
District gurukul coordinator Anjali ordered a probe. Later, she told media persons that stringent action would be initiated against those responsible.
She said the condition of all the girls was stable and all of them were discharged by Tuesday evening.
