HYDERABAD: Cingireddy Narayana Reddy, doyen of modern Telugu literature, was cremated with full state honours at Vaikuntha Mahaprasthanam near Filmnagar here on Wednesday amid chants of ‘CiNaRe Amar Rahe’ by scores of people, politicos, film personalities, litterateurs and others. Chief minister K
Chandrasekhar Rao and some ministers were present. AP minister Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao represented his government at the funeral.

Police fired three rounds in the air as a mark of respect to the departed literary star and a police band played in the background as people bade adieu to the Telugu legendary poet and lyricist. Earlier, Reddy’s body was kept for public view at Saraswata Parishat.
