HYDERABAD: Congress leader and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was better than TS CM K Chandrasekhar Rao with regard to giving appointment to Opposition leaders.
“Whenever we sought an appointment with Naidu, when he was CM, we used to get his audience without fail. But, now, CM KCR is not giving time to any of us. He neither comes to Secretariat nor gives appointment to anybody at Pragati Bhavan,” Reddy criticised, after meeting chief secretary SP Singh at Secretariat here.
Later, addressing media, he alleged that KCR was discriminating the Oppn MLAs against the ruling party legislators while granting funds from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
On the other hand, the TRS rejected the allegations made by Venkat Reddy. Ruling party MLC Karne Prabhakar said, “No other leader from Opposition has met KCR so many times like Venkat Reddy so far. As many as 391 persons recommended by him were granted money from CMRF. But, he is making false allegations.”
