HYDERABAD: IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao and MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi had a heated argument during the Question Hour in the State Assembly on Saturday over excess time being consumed for questions.

It all started when Akbaruddin raised a question regarding public transportation in the GHMC area. Seeking replies from Transport minister, P Mahender Reddy, he raised volley of questions.Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary intervened and urged Akbaruddin that it would consume much time for government to give replies. The question should be short so that government can reply in a proper way without any difficulty.

Owaisi did not budge and appealed to the Speaker not to restrict them from asking questions. “Let it not be there a dictatorial democracy,” Owaisi said.

Taking serious view of Owaisi’s remark, minister KTR demanded that MIM MLA withdraw the remarks.
