Telangana CM KC Rao bags Agriculture leadership award 2017

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been selected for the prestigious Agriculture Leadership Award-2017. A Committee headed by noted agriculture scientist Prof MS Swaminathan has recommended Rao’s name for the award. The award will be presented on September 5 at Taj Palace in Delhi.“Rao has been selected for the award for his innovative and yeoman services being rendered for the welfare of farmers and farm sector,” stated Indian Council of Food and Agriculture, which instituted the award in 2008.

Indian Council of Food and Agriculture chairman MJ Khan in the letter sent to Rao stated that the award was given annually to recognise efforts made in agriculture and farm economy.
“Given the path breaking initiatives taken by TS  government under your visionary leadership, we are pleased to inform you that the National Awards Committee, which met on August 1 in Delhi, has proposed your name in the Policy Leadership Category,” Khan said in the letter.
