Swine flu diagnostic centre proposed: Telagana and Andhra

HYDERABAD:  Proposals were made to establish swine flu diagnostic centre in Adilabad or Nizamabad, as the districts share border with Maharashtra-where a high number of swine flu patients have died. Out of the 929 deaths in India from January 1 to August 13, 404 were recorded in Maharashtra, 190 in Gujarat. In Telangana, 18 died till August 23. On Thursday, 11 samples tested positive.

Since the Telugu state shares a border with Maharashtra, officials are worried that the flu infection might spread to people in bordering districts.
