TIRUPATI: Telangana minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy fell unconscious at Tirumala after Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday morning and was rushed to Apollo Emergency Cardiac Centre atop Tirumala.

His condition is said to be stable and has been discharged after about four hours. They attributed the sudden illness to a sudden dip in blood pressure.

Sources said that Srinivas Reddy was one of the first batch of VIPs who went for darshan of the Lord in the wee hours of Wednesday. Later he returned to the temple to receive the Telangana chief minister KCR and stayed back till the latter left the temple at 10 am.

As the minister had not had his breakfast, his blood pressure is learnt to have dipped, making him fall unconscious.
