HYDERABAD: The state government is likely to lay foundation stone for the construction of new Secretariat building on the 55 acres of land at Bison Polo grounds on coming Dasara day.

After Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday for handing over Bison Polo grounds from Defence ministry to the state government, officials are expecting that the process may be completed in the next three to four months.

“We are expecting that the Defence ministry will complete the process for handing over the land of Bison Polo grounds in next three to four months,” official sources said. In such a case, the CM may lay foundation stone for the new Secretariat building complex on Dasara.
According to sources, Defence ministry did not agree for handing over Gough road to the state and asked government to find alternative route for vehicular movement.
