Coromandel’s quarter one income rises to Rs 2,289 crore

The consolidated total income of Coromandel International Limited, India’s second largest phosphatic fertiliser company,  stood at Rs 2,289 crore as on June 30.

HYDERABAD: The consolidated total income of Coromandel International Limited, India’s second largest phosphatic fertiliser company,  stood at Rs 2,289 crore as on June 30.

The company, which specialises in the business of fertilisers, crop protection, speciality nutrients, organic manure and retail, has seen a rise this year over the corresponding quarter of previous year which was Rs  2,072 crore. The company’s profit before depreciation, interest and taxes for the same period stands at Rs 171 crore against the corresponding quarter’s profit of last year of Rs 88 crore, a growth of 94 per cent.

The consolidated net profit after tax for the quarter is Rs 75 crore as against Rs 7 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s standalone performance for the same quarter stands at Rs 2,288 crore in comparison with that of the corresponding quarter last year of Rs 2,069 crore. Net profit after tax for the quarter is Rs 76 crore against that for last year’s corresponding quarter which was Rs 8 crore.

The company has received environmental clearance for raising the production capacity at its phosphoric acid plant at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
