KARIMNAGAR: Telangana Telugu Desham Party leaders from erstwhile Karimnagar district staged a protest at collectorate in the district on Monday over Miyapur land scam. The party leaders raised slogans against the government. The protest was led by former MLA Ch Vijayaramana Rao.
Addressing the gathering, Vijayaramana Rao said that stringent action needs to be taken against those involved in Miyapur land scam. He demanded the state government to order CBI inquiry into the issue. Meanwhile, the MLA alleged that officials of TRS government were playing key role to suppress the scam.
Later, he flayed the state government over failure of poll promises. Except for adopting villages, chief minister is yet to implement double bedroom houses scheme in the state. Land distribution for Dalit government utterly failed, he alleged. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the district collector Sarfaraz Ahmed.
TDP activists across dists stage protests, demand CBI inquiry
Nizamabad/Mahbubnagar: TDP activists of Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts organised a protest at district collector office on Monday by urging government to order CBI inquiry into Miyapur land scam. They staged the protest under the leadership of Kamareddy district president V Subhash Reddy. TDP leaders and activists reached the collector’s office and raised slogans against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS. Later, TDP delegation submitted a memorandum on their demand to district collector Dr Yogitha Rana.
While speaking to mediapersons, Subhash Reddy said that TRS senior leader MP K Keshava Rao and his family members were involved and two other ministers also played key role in the scam. TDP leaders from Mahbubnagar organised protests at district headquarters demanding action against Miyapur scam accused. They held a meeting which was attended by party leaders including former MLAs K Dayakar Reddy, Seetha Dayakar Reddy and Yerra Sekhar.
The leaders alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had set up a team of party leaders to commit such irregularities. Noting that government lands were protected during erstwhile AP, they alleged that TRS leaders have unleashed a spate of irregularities upon government lands.
