Govt’s new e-application system goes viral among M’nagar entrepreneurs

MAHBUBNAGAR: The state government’s introduction of a new e-application system on August 5, to give approval to new industries, has received good response among existing and prospective entrepreneurs and industrialists. The proposed e-application system will allow entrepreneurs to submit their applications online and obtain permission to establish their industries within a period of one month.

The applications submitted by the applicants will be sent to the district industries department concerned for their assessment.

If we look at the official statistics, Mahbubnagar district industries department received a total of 285 applications for setting up the industries in 2015.  Of this, the department had given permission to 250 industries.

A total of 551 applications were received by the department from May 25, 2016 till August 5,2017, to establish the industries. A total of 105 applications were received after introduction of the online method. Of these, the oficials have accorded permission to almost 80 per cent allocations.

The work on verification of the remaining 20 per cent applications  is still underway. General manager of the industries Department Suresh Kumar told Express that the introduction of the online system had increased transparency.

“The online application process has taken away the problems of industrialists. They need not run around the office of the industries department once their application is submitted online. We are completing the scrutiny of applications in just two days and undertaking the field inspection immediately,” he said.
