Theft at former CBI JD’s house

Unidentified miscreants allegedly stole 20 tola gold ornaments from the residence of former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) VV Lakshminarayana at Banjara

HYDERABAD: Unidentified miscreants allegedly stole 20 tola gold ornaments from the residence of former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) VV Lakshminarayana at Banjara Hills here on Saturday morning. Lakshminarayana is presently working as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in Maharashtra.

According to police, Lakshminarayana’s wife lodged a complaint with police stating that a box containing 20 tola gold ornaments had gone missing from the house. Based on her complaint, Bajara Hills police registered a case of theft and took up investigation. Banjara Hills Inspector K Srinivas said they are investigating from all angles, including the possible involvement of domestic helps in the house. In the complaint, the officer’s wife said that she kept the box containing gold ornaments in the bedroom. She noticed that the box was missing. After inquiring with the domestic workers, she lodged a complaint with the police.
