KARIMNAGAR: In the third mishap in as many days, five migrant workers were injured in a tunnel, being constructed as part of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, in Nandi Medaram under Package 6 of the project in Peddapalli district.
The workers were reportedly injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling hit a boulder in the tunnel. Five suffered injuries and were shifted to a private hospital. Irrigation authorities and contractor refused to comment. Meanwhile, at Tippapur in Rajanna-Sircilla where seven were killed on Wednesday, work has been suspended till Monday.
