ADILABAD : Thieves broke into the house of TRS Adilabad MP G Nagesh and decamped with Rs 15 lakh worth of gold and diamond jewellery and Rs 70,000  cash on Wednesday. They gained entry into the MP’s  residence by breaking open the rear door and disconnecting the CCTV cameras. Later, they broke the main door lock in the first floor, stole valuables from the almirah in the bedroom and escaped from the spot.

The MP was in New Delhi and his family members were in his native village to celebrate Dasara festival. Interestingly,  MP’s  house is located in the heart of the town and few yards away from the  Superintendent of Police (SP) camp office. This is not the first time thieves have broke into Nagesh’s house. Even in 2013 a similar incident took place. Adilabad DSP A Laxminarayana visited the sport and said the case had been handed over to  CCS DSP K Narsimha Reddy. He said that two teams have been formed to nab the thieves. A team has been sent to Karimnagar and another to Maharashtra. The police are suspecting the involvement of three persons in the incident who had good knowledge about the topography of the house.
