HYDERABAD: Days after some policemen had created a Bathukamma song, an audio clip, abusing director-general of police Anurag Sharma over police promotions and circulated it, higher officials are understood to have initiated an internal probe into it.Officials have received information that the audio clip on Batukamma song was created by a senior police officer and circulated through WhatsApp and other groups being maintained by police personnel. 

In the audio clip, the police officer blamed the DGP for not giving promotions. As the audio clip went viral among the police groups, higher officials received information about it. Taking a serious note of it, they made enquiries about the officer who created the song and circulated it on social media. 

A senior officer has confirmed that an audio clip was circulated among the WhatsApp groups of policemen and that an internal probe was initiated to pinpoint the person behind it. After receiving the report, officials will take action.
