HYDERABAD: State Legislative Assembly secretary V Narasimha Charyulu and Election Commission of India (ECI) refused to take the notices issued by Hyderabad High Court seeking their response to the petition filed with regard to the expulsion of two Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar.
However, Law Secretary V Niranjan Rao took the notices. According to sources, Assembly secretary and ECI refused to take the notices, as they are not concerned with what happened in the Assembly.
The Assembly secretary and ECI officials are part of the government and they were not responsible for the proceedings of the Assembly and they refused to take the notices, sources said.
