Telangana man stabbed to death while trying to save daughter

The incident happened at Gurgobind Colony in Yellammabanda area in Jagadgirigutta on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: A 65-year-old man who went to rescue his daughter was stabbed to death by his son-in-law. The deceased man’s son and a neighbour also suffered stabbing injuries. The incident happened at Gurgobind Colony in Yellammabanda area in Jagadgirigutta on Thursday.

According to Jagadgirigutta in-charge inspector M Bhoopathi, accused Jarnail Singh, a welder from Gurugobind colony on Thursday had beaten up his wife Eshwar Kaur with a pestle on her head causing a severe injury. Knowing this, Kaur’s father Jeevan Singh, her younger brother Kirpal Singh (18) and their neighbour Karan Singh (24) rushed to Kaur’s house to rescue her. Jarnail on seeing them got angry and picked up a knife and stabbed Jeevan, Kirpal and Karan and ran away from the spot, said the inspector.
