HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to issue question paper in both Telugu and English languages for the post of Physical Education Teacher (PET) under Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) scheduled to take place on Feb 28. Justice MS Ramachandra Rao was passing this order in a petition by K Venkata Ramana and three other unemployed youths seeking to declare the decision of the TSPSC to issue question papers only in Telugu for PET under TRT exam as illegal.

Petitioners’ counsel Bura Ramesh told the court that the aspiring candidates would face the difficulty if the question papers for PET post were given only in Telugu language. In fact, the entire PET syllabus was in English language and that the question papers were given in both the languages, Telugu and English, in the examinations held in the past.Taking these submissions into consideration, the judge directed the TSPSC authorities to take steps ensuring that the PET question paper was issued in both the languages.
