HYDERABAD: In a setback to the State police, an alleged ISI suspect has been acquitted by a local court in Jangaon as the prosecution failed to prove the allegations. The case involved Abdul Khaja, one of the three accused in a 2011 case in which he allegedly attacked personnel of a police escort while being transferred from Hyderabad to Jangaon. .

A Munsif magistrate court, on Tuesday, acquited Khaja as the prosecution had “technical issues”, in its charge sheet. “We will be appealing the case at a higher court. The reason, we understand, is technical issues because which the accused got acquittal. Once we get the court order, we will appeal again,” said Dr V Ravinder, SP, Warangal (urban).
