83 Basti clinics to open in city soon

HYDERABAD: The Assistant Medical Officers of Health, State Programme Health Officers and District Programme Officers should coordinate in identifying the places for providing Basthi Dawakhana in their respective areas and should also submit alternative proposals.

If there are no Community Halls, they should give options on private buildings for providing the health facilities, GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy, said. Commissioner along with GHMC officials held a review meeting on Basthi Dawakhanas status at GHMC Head Office on Monday, where he instructed them that while submitting the proposals they should also see if there are any issues on the community halls by July 25.

In the Phase I, 30 Basthi Dawakhanas were proposed, in second phase 26 and in third phase 27 have been proposed totaling 83, out of which 17 have started functioning.
