New bus shelter inaugurated at Shadnagar

To improve patronage among passengers, the State transport department seems to be on a roll as another bus shelter has been inaugurated.

HYDERABAD: To improve patronage among passengers, the State transport department seems to be on a roll as another bus shelter has been inaugurated. The latest bus shelter that has been thrown open for the public is at Kothur Mandal in Shadnagar.

The department, with an investment of `16 lakh inaugurated the shelter. P Mahender Reddy, the transport minister, along with Anjaiah Yadav, MLA of Shadnagar took part in the inauguration. The motive behind the bus shelter is to aid students to take shelter beside that there would be a bus pass counter in the shelter.

“The goal of the transport department is to take transport services to people across. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has also announced `1,000 crore towards budget allocation,” Mahender Reddy said. We have instructed RTC officials to divert all the buses passing through the by-pass to pass through the new bus shelter, he added. Additional buses would be plyed for commuters to travel to Jahangir Dargah, the minister informed.
