‘Upliftment of poor from forward castes soon’

Nizamabad District Arya Vaisya Mahasabha was held at a function hall on Sunday. During the programme, MLA B Ganesh Gupta’s father B Krishna Murthy assumed charge as the president of District Arya Vaisya Association. MP K Kavitha, elected representatives of the district, and several prominent personalities were present.

Addressing the gathering, Kavitha said, “Soon I will try to convene a meeting in the presence of the Chief Minister to discuss several issues with Arya Vaisya caste association leaders to extend a helping hand to poor people from the caste. I have already sanctioned `1 crore to the community hall. Now, I am sanctioning `50 lakh to students’ hostel. I will discuss with MLAs and MLCs to provide funds from `10 lakh to `20 lakh to construct community halls for Arya Vaisyas in every mandal headquarters.”
