63.49 per cent clear Inter second year examinations in Telangana

As many as 69 candidates have been booked under malpractices and the results of 12 candidates have been withheld.

HYDERABAD: As 61.68 per cent of first-year candidates and 63.49 per cent of second-year students secured passing marks in the Intermediate Public Examinations held between March 15 and April 4 this year. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced the results on Tuesday. The pass percentage for the first years dropped by 2 per cent when compared to 2022. Data shows that it is the lowest pass percentage that has been recorded for the second year in the last four years.

A total of 9,48,153 students appeared for the exam at 1,473 centres. Nearly, 26,000 invigilators conducted exams and nearly 13,000 evaluators successfully evaluated the answer scripts at 15 spot valuation centres.
Like every year, girls have outnumbered boys in both the first and second years. Among the first-years, 68 per cent of girls (1.65 lakh) and 54 per cent of boys (1.31 lakh boys) cleared the exam. Among the second-years, 71 per cent of girls (1.64 lakh) and 55 per cent of boys (1.30 lakh) passed the examination. As many as 69 candidates have been booked under malpractices and the results of 12 candidates have been withheld.
