HYDERABAD: CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday said that the BRS has no moral right to seek votes as it rendered “injustice” to the Rangareddy district by neglecting the Palamuru Rangareddy project. Addressing a corner meeting on the 59th day of his padayatra at Chinna Ummethala village in Shadnagar Assembly constituency, he called upon the residents of Rangareddy district not to allow BRS leaders to enter their localities as the government has failed to ensure water supply.

“The BRS leaders claimed that they will not seek votes if a reservoir is not built as part of the Palamuru Rangareddy project at Lakshmidevipalli. Now, they have no moral right to seek votes,” Vikramarka said. He also said that the previous Congress government designed Pranahita Chevella project with the objective to provide water to the Rangareddy district, but the BRS government changed it under the pretext of redesigning the project.“In the name of Kaleshwaram, the State government has immersed Rs 1.3 lakh crore in Godavari,” the Madhira MLA said.

Stating that there is no hope and scope for people in Telangana under “the feudal rule”, he slammed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not fulfilling his poll promises, including waiver of farmers loans, free compulsory education from KG to PG and better health facilities under Aarogyasri scheme.
