HYDERABAD: Majlis Bachao Tehreek  leaders called on governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday and appealed to him to forward to President Ramnath Kovind a memorandum seeking impeachment of the three Allahabad High Court judges concerned for pronouncing a judgment favouring one religious community.

Party general secretary and spokesmen Syed Mustafa Mehmood and Amjedullah Khan said that following the “illegal demolition of Babri masjid in December 1992 by Hindu kar sevaks, the judgment pronounced in the case by justices SU Khan, Sudhir Agarwal and DV Sharma was on the basis of Hindu religious faith, unverified, unsubstantiated and mythological references”.Further, the verdict perverted law and paved the way for fresh hostilities against Muslims in the name of enforcing law, the  memorandum said and demanded that the three Allahabad HC judges be impeached to uphold the spirit of the Constitution.
