The word ‘fashion’ is subconsciously associated with being ‘expensive’. Hence, we now have something that is termed as ‘affordable fashion’, which the fashion-retail pundits believe is the way forward. Thursday evening saw the launch of ‘Evolv’—a one-stop shop for affordable fashion at DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj.
Atul Malhotra of Evolv launched the store with a collection from Cue by designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. The exclusive collection by Cue definitely had all the elements of the designer duo’s signature style of structured construction, nice finish and minimal embellishment using handcrafted metal detailing. And yes, the price-points were definitely affordable, be it the women’s line or the menswear.
Evolv will have affordable fashion collections from other designers too. Seen at the launch bash were Sanjeev Bijli, Malini Ramani, Varun Bahl, Aparna Chandra, Gauri Karan and Nandita Basu.
