French Ambassador Franchois Richier played host and flung open the embassy to celebrate the look of modern Indian bride as created by internationally known designer Manish Arora. The evening commenced with the unveiling of a Renault Duster embellished by Arora as a representation of the various colours and facets of India and the Indian by Manish Arora label.

Arora envisioned the Indian bride as a free-spirited and globetrotting girl who renounces the mundane. Hence we got to see stunning brides in glittering mirror work, bold beadwork, influence of sacred grandeur of the Ottoman empire, and free-wheeling Americana attitude—all fused together as a maddening spectacle.

The evening hosted early this week had Delhi’s fashionistas in attendance. There was Kalyani Saha, Subodh Gupta and Bharti Kher, Malvika Poddar and gang of designers like Rajesh and Payal Pratap, Malini Ramani, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Namrata Joshipura and many others. It was an electric night with electric  fashion.
