Top Indian designers have been constantly cribbing about suitable retail space in Delhi. The options are few and don’t come easy on the pocket. Seeing this need, Samegh Batra of the House of Sunrydge that owns the beautiful property opposite the Qutub Minar on Mehrauli, The Kila, developed the alfresco courtyard for fashion retail space, Kila 7 Style Mile.
Six top designers launched their flagship stores at the Kila 7 Style Mile and so did a European restaurant, Q’la. Namrata Joshipura, Manish Arora, Rabani & Rakha, Pankaj & Nidhi, AM:PM and Amit Aggarwal launched their beautiful stores with much fanfare.
Samegh is very proud of his new project and so is his father, Sanjeev Batra. Besides the designers who launched their stores, the fash-frat turned up to wish them well. We spotted Rajesh Pratap Singh and Payal Pratap, Vivek Sood, Namrata’s hubby was holding fort as she was trekking in Nepal and is safe, Nandita Basu with hubby Abhishek, Manish Arora, Malini Ramani, Rahul Khanna, Rohit Gandhi, Gautam Rakha, Poonam Bhagat, Anju Modi, Ankur and Priyanka Modi were all there. Fashionistas indulged in brisk shopping. There was Divya Gurwara, Radhika Jha, Sushma Puri and Priya Paul too enjoying the fashionable party.
