JD(S) Joins Fray after Deve Gowda Snub

BENGALURU: The JD(S) too has joined the chorus of disapproval over the governor’s behaviour after an alleged breach of protocol, when Vajubhai Vala refused to meet former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda, when the latter came to Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum protesting the formation of ACB.

Gowda was told by Raj Bhavan officials that Vala was resting after a trip. Party sources say that Vala, who hails from the BJP stable in Gujarat, hosts an active disliking for Deve Gowda for his dismissal of the Suresh Mehta-led BJP government in 1996 and for protests against Modi after the Godhra riots.
