Amidst the cash chaos and a ‘Tyrant Trump’ overdose, Delhi-denizens breathe easy at the eclectic art show curated by Arjun Sawhney, Tania Lefebvre and Sharan Apparao. Called Tara: 21 Avatars of the Goddess, it took place at The Lodhi Hotel on Thursday night.

Master Buddhist artist Zeiko depicted Goddess Tara in her 21 forms. These were painted in Bhutanese Thangka style. Each of the beautiful pieces of work were aesthetically appealing even to novices.

“This project, which exemplifies our mutual love for art and Bhutan, has been a great learning experience and a tremendous two-year journey for both of us,” said Arjun.

Spotted hob-nobbing over champagne and single malt were choreographer Aparna Bahl, fashion designers Ritu Kumar, Varun Bahl, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Ashish Soni and Misha, fashion choreographer Anisha Bahl, model Joey Matthew, fashion stylist Gautam Kalra, photographer Bonny Hazuria, Luxor Group’s Priya Jain, industrialists Nikhil Sen and Payal, designer and stylist Aparna Chandra, and others from the city’s social circle.
