The additions made the overall recoveries climb to 8,76,698 leaving only 1,987 active cases after 7,139 deaths due to Covid-19.
District-wise, East Godavari reported the highest 58 new infections; Krishna and Chittoor also recorded over 50 cases each.
The Covid-19 growth in the remaining 11 districts were less than 100 cases each, with the lowest 10 in Srikakulam.
Meanwhile, recoveries were almost double the number of the new cases bringing active cases under 7,000.

By reporting 146 new infections, the one-day spike in Krishna district was the highest in the state and it is the only district where the Covid-19 tally grew by over 100 cases.
State tests 88 lakh samples till now; 20,915 active cases remain
While West Godavari and East Godavari districts recorded more than 400 new infections, Krishna and Guntur saw a spike of over 300 cases each.
According to the latest media bulletin released by the State Command Control Room, 69,463 samples were tested in the 24 hours ending Wednesday 9 am.
67 lakh samples tested so far; active cases come down to 42,855
On July 21, the number of cases reported was 4,944 and after that the daily count was above 6,000. The development is seen as a positive sign in containment of coronavirus spread in the State.
Vizianagaram district has the highest prevalence of antibodies, with 30.6% of the population contracting Covid-19 and recovering without showing any symptoms.
