The three north coastal Andhra districts reported 57 new cases, while four Rayalaseema districts reported more than 110 new cases.
The highest number of fresh cases were reported from Guntur, 54, followed by 51 in Nellore.
According to the media bulletin released by the State Command Control Room, East Godavari reported 151 new infections, the highest among all the 13 districts.
A total of 178 new cases were reported in the East Godavari district, which also happens to be the only district to have reported more than 100 fresh infections.
With the positivity rate at 7.20 per cent after 2.86 crore tests, the recovery rate climbs to 98.86 per cent.
West Godavari district accounted for the highest number of cases with 109 followed by Chittoor -- 102.
DM&HO Dr Gowreswara Rao said the incidence of Covid-19 in East Godavari is on the decline.
Kurnool district now has the lowest number of 24 active cases, while East Godavari has the highest 2,166 in the state.
The State logged another 1,084 new Covid-19 infections from over 57,000 samples tested in the past 24 hours ending 9 am on Wednesday, taking the overall tally to over 20.49 lakh.
The cumulative death toll due to COVID-19 has reached 14,150.

Six districts reported less than 100 new cases with the lowest of three in Kurnool followed by 13 in Anantapur.

According to the official bulletin, eight districts registered under 100 new infections each and Kurnool, yet again, posted zero growth in its daily reporting of Covid infections.
With more than 2,000 active cases each, Chittoor, East Godavari, Nellore and Prakasam are contributing to over half of the overall active cases.
