Delhi govt signs MoU with CESL to grant 5 per cent interest subsidy on loans to purchase select EV's
With the signing of this MoU, the government becomes the first state to provide easy financing along with interest subvention on the purchase of EVs.
Spanning 10 years, the agreement entails CESL and HPCL to jointly undertake setting up of EV charging points in many cities including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai among others.
The AP State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) said around 4.4 crore LED bulbs will be given to about 81.5 lakh rural households.
Under the agreement, CESL and NREDCAP will work to aggregate demand, deploy electric vehicles, and build charging infrastructure.
The scheme was launched by Union Power Minister R K Singh in March this year, EESL said in a statement.
