Similarly, the search was carried out for nearly six hours at his three houses in Asansol. Besides, the central agency questioned Ghatak in a guest house for four hours.
The searches are being carried out at six locations, five in Kolkata and one in Asansol, officials said on Wednesday.
The judge also directed the central probe agency to file affidavit in opposition to Gambhir's petition by three weeks and the petitioner to file her reply to it within another two weeks thereafter.
According to an official source, the previous AIADMK government found several discrepancies with coal stock in 2020.

Coal Secretary H C Gupta was earlier convicted in three other coal scam cases and his appeal against those convictions is pending before Delhi High Court.
Among others who find mention in the charge sheet are private companies and unknown officials of the CISF and Railways, a CBI statement said.
