A spokesperson for the PIA confirmed saying, Kabul operations of the airline will remain suspended until further notice, Dawn newspaper reported.
The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight - PK 6429 - took foreign journalists to Kabul and returned with a team of World Bank and international media organisations, according to media reports.
Kabul airport was severely damaged during a chaotic evacuation of over 120,000 people that ended with the withdrawal of US forces on August 30.
The US security at Kabul airport is reportedly interested in military aircraft only, whereas the state-run Pakistan International Airlines was the sole commercial airline carrying out evacuations.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistan's interior ministry is also facilitating the evacuation of Pakistanis and foreigners from Afghanistan through border crossings.
