Talks took place a day ahead of the maiden ‘two-plus-two’ dialogue between the foreign and defence ministers of the countries.

The resolution demanded that Afghan territory should not be used to threaten or attack any country or to shelter and train terrorists and plan or finance terrorist attacks.
Expanding strategic ties will be the focus of the talks between the two defence ministers, said an official shortly before the meeting.
Both ministers will hold a '2+2' ministerial dialogue with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.
It said the ministerial dialogue on September 11 will cover a range of bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
