As per the Rule 34 of the Delhi Motor Vehicle Act (DMVR), self- registration dealers will now be appointed as special registering authority to issue temporary RC to new vehicles.
The ministry in a statement said that comments from general public and all stakeholders have been sought within a period of 30 days from the date of issuance of this draft notification.
It is advised that the validity of the documents that have expired since February 1, the same may be treated to be valid till June 30, 2021, the ministry said in an advisory to states.
Enforcement authorities are advised to treat such documents valid till March 31, 2021 and 'this will help out citizens in availing transport related services, while maintaining social distancing'.
As per the information provided by transport officials, there are 57.53 lakh motor vehicles of different categories plying in Andhra Pradesh.
