Prosecution withdrew from examining Sister Vineetha, the 36th witness in the Sister Abhaya murder case, on Saturday.
Their argument was that the question was meant to do character assassination of the nun. However, Nisha said she did not give such a statement to the agency.
Nair said he advised Kottoor to admit to his crime. But the priest said he was not the only one who has committed such a crime.
Nair said he had gone to meet the priest after reading an article of Dr James Vadakkumcherry against narco analysis test that was carried in a vernacular daily.
Saju P Mathew had earlier given a statement to the CBI that he saw the vehicles of the main accused parked outside the compound wall of the convent where the nun was found dead.
Sr Lisieux, former Mother Superior of St Pious Xth Convent, Kottayam, is listed as the first witness, while Thomas, Abhaya’s father who died three years back, has been listed as the second witness.
