An average of 147 students study in each government school, while 338.5 students study at each aided school.

However, after the High Court directed the State government to not force aided schools for the merger, some of the managements of these aided educational institutions have withdrawn their consent.
During an earlier hearing, the court had asked the Principal Secretary (higher education) and Commissioner (school education) and other officials to appear before it.
