Mumbai Rains: Heavy rains continue unabated for 4th day; IMD issues red alert

Mumbaikars had no respite from the heavy rains which continued to lash the city for the 4th consecutive day on July 7. IMD has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar for July 8. The IMD has also predicted the possibility of occasional strong winds reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph. The suburban services were delayed by a few minutes due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai and the neighbouring Thane district.
