Inclement weather and incessant rain caused massive landslides and waterlogging at several locations in #Assam. Landslides triggered by heavy rain snapped rail and road links to Barak Valley and Dima Hasao district of Assam and neighbouring states of Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur. The IMD has predicted that “extremely heavy rains” will continue for the coming days as Assam stay on ‘red alert.’ Over 6 lakh people across 26 districts have been affected by floods.
