BJP-Shiv Sena alliance takes Mumbai crown, leads in Maharashtra civic polls

The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance won 25 out of 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra civic polls on January 16. This included Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nagpur municipal corporations. The party outdid Thackeray-led Shiv Sena in the financial capital. The BJP-led alliance is set to win around 125 of 227 seats in the BMC.
