Did you know that Indian women are the most stressed in the world? A study by Nielsen discloses this. A devastating 87% of Indian women said they felt stressed most of the time, and 82% had no time to relax.

Based on the difficulties faced by women, here are ideas to handle stress..

1.Don’t think you are powerless

You will be afraid to express and satisfy your needs, when you feel powerless. It is because of the fear that you have only little that too might go away, if you demand something. You may have powerless feeling, if you were exposed to people who used peripheral forces like money and physical strength to control you.

To feel powerful, hang around with people who are encouraging. If someone appears to de-motivate you, don’t have a second thought to end that relationship.

2. Get Proper recognition in work

Not getting reward for your hard work is the main cause of stress. To get right credits, first make sure that you are visible. Try to have inter-personal communication with your colleagues and people in authority. Appreciate your colleague in front of your boss for the effort he/she took to complete a task. Don’t give fake compliments.

3.Try to be Economically Independent

A person can be called economically independent when he/she have access to the range of economic opportunities like employment, entrepreneurship, business, etc. This helps women in shaping their lives and the lives of their dependents.

4.Stop Feeling Competitive

The first step to stop feeling competitive is, stopping to compare with others. Realise that nobody is your competition. Believe in your potential. If you keep on comparing yourself with other women, you can never feel great about yourself.

5.Spend time for yourself by doing what you love

When your life is filled with activities you love, your life can never be boring. To enhance your world, you can find a hobby to do, so that you will have some time to be relaxed. Don’t fix a particular time, because it will again end up being stressful. If you are not sure about your passion, experiment with many activities, to find your particular area of interest.

6.Feel that you are beautiful

The first step to feel beautiful is, understand nobody is perfect, but everybody is beautiful in their own way. Stop putting yourself down and feel your inner beauty. When you think you are not beautiful by comparing yourself with others, you are treating yourself much worse than the rest of the human population.

When you know the difference between ‘worry’ and ‘care’, it will be much easier to handle stress. Worrying will not help anything. For example, if you are out of town and if you worry about the plants in your garden, you will come back only to witness the dried plants. Rather, if you care, you will find a way to water the plants. If you stop worrying, handling stress can be made easy.
